Machining is used in the complete or value-added manufacture of many products.  You can produce very precise parts out of a variety of materials in any volume. Simply put, it is a very versatile process. Machining is a subtractive method—we are mechanically removing designated metal as opposed to additive manufacturing. Buchanan Sales reps will receive your drawing or 3D model and, from your designated material, will set up to machine your specified dimensions. Set up times are now faster—newer technology is constantly being implemented in our shops.

CNC machining stands for Computerized Numerical Control. For this process, a computer controls how the machine cuts. Most CNCs have several axis of operation which means they can cut at different angles and make complex parts.

We have tight-tolerance machining capabilities in any material. Some of our foundries provide their own machining of their castings. We also represent manufacturers that will select from approved suppliers. A Buchanan Sales rep will work with you, your model, and your production needs to match you with a shop that will best meet your needs.

In conjunction with our casting machining, we can make it a one stop shop to fit your budget and your needs—if you need several components, we can connect you with a shop that can complete them all to reduce production time and costs. Why choose Buchanan Sales for CNC and Automatic Machining?
